Message	I will pull my motor (test fitting) and show you how I have done it. I did exactly what you are saying, by using two 90s, cutting the compressor housing, and welding. The drivers side works out fine this way, but teh passenger side you might run into the motor mount. The problem with this is that the motor mount moves :) Also, if you don't have a welder that welds aluminum, you have to get creative to hold them in the right spot to weld.
